Our Ministry

large group

ACF meets every Friday, either at UofR or RIT campus, from 7:30pm-8:45pm for large group. These meetings consist of worship, scripture lessons, and sermons put together by PC, PT, or special guests. Students can serve in various ministries for large group, such as worship, media, or hospitality. After large group, with the exception of special events, we typically go to Menlo Place or Lantern Lane for more fellowship, games, and music.

small group

Outside of large group, we gather once a week for small group to dive deeper into the Word, furthering out individual and communal growth in Christ. In these meetings, smaller groups of students spend time reading the Word, sharing their thoughts, and learning ways to grow spiritually. These groups are led by staffs and upperclassmen students. Meeting day and time differs by each group based on availabilities.

discipleship

Pastor Charles (PC) and Jueun regularly meetup with students for discipleship. Discipleship involves teaching, sharing, and discussing about our relationships with God, living a Christian life, and applying God’s words to the things we encounter day to day. The Bible and other Christian books are the main resources we use for discipleship.

To share the Good News with more people on campus, we go out and meet new people each week. We want to live out God’s command to go make disciples of all nations and know that He will help guide and awaken those who seek to find the Gospel truth.

prayer meetings

The prayer warriors in ACF meet weekdays from 7-8am on Discord and once a month in-person. Our prayer meetings begin with a song of praise, followed by reading a chapter of the Bible. We pray for our schools, families, friends, churches in Rochester, North America, and all nations around the world.

fellowship

Besides large group and small groups, there are lots of fun events and activities throughout the year in ACF. Students become friends and bond with each other through potlucks, picnics, games, apple picking, and Valentine’s Day banquet.

winter retreat

ACF’s annual winter retreat takes place on the first weekend of each Spring semester with a different theme each year. Through the retreat, students are encouraged and challenged to prioritize their relationship with God. We have worship, messages given by special speakers, small group discussions, and individual time of reflection. We also do group games during down time. This is the highlight of our calendar year as a ministry. We devote a lot of time and resources to ensure an impactful weekend!
